They both wanted a wedding in Rome in their city with a ceremony with a Catholic rite and the reception in a scenic location. For the reception, we immediately thought of Villa Miani, a beautiful early 20th-century villa with large spaces and an elegant and refined character. Villa Miani is one of the most scenic and evocative venues in Rome, thanks to, its magnificent gardens, elegant salons, and breathtaking views of the eternal city. The location is beautifully situated and when there are no clouds on the horizon it gives its guests the view of the city’s most spectacular sunsets, unique moments of indescribable beauty created by the grandeur of nature. The wonderful colors of Roman sunsets inspired our color palette to be used for both the mice en place and the coordinated graphic design.
For the dinner, which took place on the terrace, we planned long tables and round tables arranged in a sunburst pattern around the bride and groom’s table to symbolize the sun.
For the mise en place, we chose powder pink tablecloths and elegant and comfortable contrasting white chairs. Floral arrangements were high on the round tables and low on the imperial tables so as to create a pleasant and dynamic image. Seasonal flowers in pastel colors of different shades enriched in an elegant but at the same time romantic and delicate way the mice en place, everything looked like an integral part of a picture painted at sunset over the roofs of Rome. A jazz quartet of very good musicians made the atmosphere pleasant, serene and lively by welcoming guests for the welcome reception.
For the graphic project, a custom logo was created, with a floral design inspired by the flower arrangements made for both the ceremony and the reception. The musicians accompanied the bride and groom’s entrance to the dinner by briskly playing “That’s Amore,” one of Claudio and Carla’s favorite songs.
It could not miss a delicious menu masterfully created by the chef with high quality raw materials to delight the guests’ palates.
After a spectacular cake cutting with fireworks, the evening continued to provide excitement with an 6-piece band that managed to engage all the guests in dancing and an open bar that contributed to a particularly cheerful atmosphere.
